Hong Kong, June 2011 - Institute of Management Consultants Hong Kong (IMCHK) announced official Fellows of the Institute for their contributions to enhance the standards of management consulting industry in Hong Kong and Asia. The title of Fellow is presented to veteran management consultants, external or internal, who have had at least 10 years’ experience and have unselfishly devoted time and effort to strengthen the professionalism of our industry in Greater China and to the Institute. The number of Fellows may not exceed five percent of the membership in any part of the world. Fellows are expected to give something back to the consulting community, including teaching the next generations of management consultants through focused. workshops and mentorship program. |

Prof. Li is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong. Prof. Li has been an innovation evangelist, a serial entrepreneur, and a company doctor for over 35 years, and has worked with professionals from PwC, IBM, McKinsey, Aon Global, to the World Bank. His main remedial work has been in strategy, corporate governance, and corporate transformation. Over the years and working together with strategists to start-ups, he has connected and co-created new business models, new companies, new consulting methodologies, new university programs, and nurtured new and budding entrepreneurs. Prof. Li is the founding Chairman of Invotech, a citizens-based do tank seeking innovative ways to reinvent the ecosystems of Hong Kong. He currently serves as their Honorary President. Prof. Li was the Vice Chairman, and now an adviser to the Business and Professionals Federation of Hong Kong. He also advises the Center of Family Business at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the School of Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the International Council of Washington University in St. Louis. He is a board member of Cyberport, the Urban Renewal Authority, and a few start-ups. He was formerly the founding President of the Hong Kong Chapter, and Ambassador to China, of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes under United Nations auspices.

Dr. Samson Ma served for telecom, IT and service industries over 40 years and participated in management consultancy for more than 20 years. He is the principal consultant with specialty in business valuation, executive coaching, executive search, facilitation, growth management, IT management, leadership development, marketing, organizational design & development, physical & cyber security, process improvement, project management, quality management, reengineering, sales & business development, small & family business, strategy planning, supply chain & logistics, and sustainability. He worked in various sections and projects under Cable & Wireless, Unisys, Shell, Bain & Company, HK Telecom, Telcordia Technologies, PwC, PCCW, Ovum and ValuePartners. He successfully conducted and delivered more than 50 development and consulting projects to public corporations, government and government agents in China, Hong Kong and Asia Pacific region, which included IT automation, Information systems development, quality management, business change / development, industry transformation, industries regulation, government policy, marketing research, sales efficiency improvement, product delivery, customer services improvement, logistics enhancement, process management, strategies setting and scenario planning. Dr. Ma also supported and contributed his knowledge to NGOs and volunteer services included ICT innovation, e-services, e-health management, as well as sustainable development and research, which included the working with FHKI to promote sustainable development for business and industries, and supporting of HIESD to develop sustainable smart healthy school project in Greater Bay Area.

Prior to this, he had been with Motorola Asia Pacific and Director of Global Customer Focus Centers for more than 25 years. Dr. CW Cheung has worked with a number of leading telecom operators, service providers, vendors, government and regulatory agencies and management consultancies in the Greater China and Asia Pacific region for more than 27 years. He is an industry expert in a full array of fixed, mobile and wireless telecom operations encompassing industry competitive analysis, market entry strategy, strategy planning, telecom policies and regulation, business management and business operations management. Dr. CW’s consulting experience in fixed and mobile telecom operations include ICT policies & regulation, multi-play & fixed mobile convergence, next generation network and convergence developments, next generation wired and mobile broadband networks, wireless access technologies, mobile and 3G launch strategies, multimedia and value added services, business models, service development and pricing, and customer service developments. Prior to joining Ovum, Dr. CW held senior positions in both the private and public sectors including working for ex HK Telecom/PCCW (as Senior VP), PCG Consulting (as Consulting Partner), and some leading international management consultancies such as ATK and BAH in Greater China. Dr. Wong is the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of the Academy and is one of our most seasoned industrial engineers and consultants, with over 30 years of both hands-on consulting and training experiences. Dr. Wong is a quality guru and trainer, notably in areas such as Human Resources, workflow, productivity improvements, and quantum improvement in efficiencies. For over 15 years, Dr. Wong has been associated as a Senior Advisor at the Management Development Centre (MDC) of the Vocational Training Council specializing in Manpower Planning, Project Management, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Engineers as Managers, Training Needs Analysis, Quality Improvement and Service Quality. During that period, Dr. Wong has trained more than 5,000 human resources practitioners. Dr. Wong is also a management subject specialist and university lecturer. He was a part-time lecturer for management subjects at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Hong Kong 1997–2005 and also at Hong Kong Polytechnic University 2009–2010. He is the trainer (since 2008 up to current) for the Professional Diploma in Management Consulting and Risk Management organized by the HKPC. He was appointed by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (from 2007 to 2012) as a Specialist to assist the HKSAR Government to develop the “Qualification Framework” by using the Competency Approach.
